Chicken nuggets are a continental, kid-friendly snack rather than a classical Indian dish, but at BHARAT they are made from scratch in the kitchen rather than pulled from a frozen bag, with an Indian seasoning running quietly through them. The idea is the familiar crumb-coated bite-sized piece, built fresh so the texture and flavour are a step above the commercial version.
Each order is six bite-sized pieces of boneless chicken seasoned with ginger-garlic and Indian spices, crumb-coated and fried in two stages so the inside cooks through gently before the coating is crisped in hotter oil. The spices are ground in-house each day rather than taken from a packet mix, the chicken is halal-marked, and the cooking is kept free of pork and alcohol. The Uttarakhand chef seasons them only mildly, with simple savoury notes rather than chilli heat, which makes them suited to children or anyone who prefers gentle food. Because they are deep-fried to set that crunch, a baked version is not offered.
What sets them apart from a standard nugget is size and finish: these run slightly larger than the commercial kind, with visible seasoning on the surface and a coating of seasoned breadcrumbs that fries to a golden, even crunch. The boneless meat keeps the bite tender and filling, and the mild seasoning lets the chicken itself come through rather than masking it.
They come with tomato ketchup and a green chutney for dipping, the ketchup for younger or milder palates and the chutney for a fresher, herb-led contrast. As a light, shareable plate they work well as a starter or a casual snack alongside other dishes rather than as a main on their own.
