Notes from the kitchen — Breakfast
Breakfast, the North Indian way. The parathas are rolled and stuffed to order — aloo, gobhi, paneer — and griddled in ghee until blistered, then served with our own morning-set curd and pickle. Chole for the bhature simmers long enough to go properly dark. Since we open at noon, "breakfast" here really means brunch onwards, and plenty of regulars order a paratha plate at dinner. A sweet or salted lassi alongside is the traditional pairing.

Frequently Asked Questions about Breakfast
How many Breakfast dishes do you serve?
There are 6 Breakfast items on the menu, listed below. Each is cooked to order, with masala ground fresh in our kitchen every morning. Halal across the board.
What is a North Indian breakfast like?
Substantial. Stuffed parathas — aloo, gobhi, paneer — rolled to order and griddled in ghee until blistered, served with curd we set that morning and pickle. Chole bhature for the seriously hungry. It is the food half of Punjab grows up on.
Until what time do you serve breakfast?
All day. We open at noon, so "breakfast" at BHARAT really means brunch onwards — and a paratha plate at dinner is completely normal here; plenty of regulars do exactly that. A sweet or salted lassi alongside is the traditional pairing.
Are the breakfast dishes vegetarian?
The parathas, chole bhature and halwa-style items are vegetarian, made with our in-house curd and fresh masala in a pork-free, halal-friendly kitchen. Jain adjustments (no onion-garlic in the stuffing) can be done on request when you order.
