An Americano is a shot of espresso lengthened with hot water — a clean, full-flavoured black coffee without the intensity of a straight espresso. We serve it freshly made from the bar, and it is the natural way to round off a North Indian meal for diners who like to finish with coffee rather than a sweet masala chai. The gentle bitterness is a pleasant counterpoint to a rich, spiced dinner and to anything sweet from the dessert menu — a slice of our kulfi or a bowl of gulab jamun.
