Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly goes into the 'mix'?

The filling is a seasonal blend typically including grated cauliflower, potatoes, carrots, onions, and paneer.

Is this paratha heavier than the others?

Yes, because it contains a dense, varied vegetable stuffing, it is quite filling and thick.

Are the vegetables cooked before stuffing?

The vegetables are usually grated raw or lightly sautéed so they steam inside the dough as it cooks.

Is this a vegan option?

It standardly contains paneer and is cooked with ghee. You can ask the kitchen if a vegan variation can be prepared.

Does it require a side dish?

It is well-seasoned enough to eat on its own, though a side of raita and pickle enhances the experience.

About Mix Paratha

Mix paratha is the loaded option among our stuffed whole-wheat breads, combining more than one filling in a single bread. The atta dough is stuffed with a blend that brings together grated vegetables and paneer, typically cauliflower, potato and onion alongside the cheese, seasoned with green chilli and fresh coriander; the masalas are ground fresh in our kitchen, and the paneer is set in-house. The mixture is grated and seasoned so it steams inside the dough as it cooks, and it is packed in carefully so the paratha can still be rolled out flat without splitting. At BHARAT each one is rolled and cooked to order on the tawa griddle with ghee or butter, with oil available on request, and as a vegetarian bread it is prepared without pork in a halal-friendly kitchen. The dense, varied stuffing makes this the heaviest and most filling of the parathas, and it is what sets it apart from the single-filling versions like aloo or gobhi: instead of one flavour you get several at once. It is well seasoned enough to eat on its own, though a side of raita or lime pickle rounds it out nicely. The kitchen is led by a chef from Uttarakhand.

The dining room seats 30-40 across two styles — standard tables and Dastarkhan-style floor seating. Quiet on weekday lunches, busy from 7 PM. Visit BHARAT →
