Best Paneer in Bangkok
Good paneer is the test of a serious Indian kitchen, and most restaurants in Bangkok fail it — they use frozen, rubbery blocks bought in bulk. At BHARAT Flavours Of India in Huai Khwang we set our paneer fresh from full-fat milk every single morning, press it for about three hours, and cube it just before service. Soft enough to crumble, firm enough to hold its shape in a gravy. It is one of the reasons we are known for vegetarian Indian food in Bangkok.
Why fresh paneer changes everything
Frozen paneer turns chewy and squeaky the moment it hits a hot gravy, and it never soaks up flavour. Fresh-set paneer does the opposite: it stays tender, absorbs the masala, and gives that clean milky bite that paneer is supposed to have. Our chef from Uttarakhand makes it the same way it is made in home kitchens across northern India — you can read how he works on the our chef page. It sits within our wider North Indian menu.
Our paneer gravies
The main-course paneer dishes are where the freshness really shows:
- Paneer Butter Masala — our most-ordered vegetarian curry: mild, creamy, gently sweet tomato gravy. The veg counterpart to our butter chicken.
- Shahi Paneer — richer, Mughlai-style, with cashew and cream.
- Kadai Paneer — bolder, with bell pepper, onion and freshly pounded kadai masala.
- Palak Paneer — paneer in a smooth spinach gravy, the wholesome classic.
- Malai Kofta — paneer-and-potato dumplings in a velvety cashew gravy.
Browse every option on the main course (veg) menu.
Paneer from the tandoor
Our charcoal tandoor does wonderful things to fresh paneer. Start with Paneer Tikka, Pudina Paneer Tikka, Achari Paneer Tikka, Paneer 65 or Paneer Multani Tikka — all on the veg starters menu. More on the oven itself on our best tandoori in Bangkok page.
Vegetarian, vegan & Jain
Beyond paneer we have a deep vegetarian section — Dal Makhani, Chana Masala, Bhindi Masala and more — with vegan and Jain options clearly marked. See Indian vegetarian food in Bangkok for the full picture. Pair any paneer dish with a fresh butter naan from the breads menu.

Paneer — common questions
Is your paneer fresh or frozen?
Fresh, always. We set it from full-fat milk every morning and press it for about three hours — frozen paneer never enters the kitchen. That is why it stays soft and soaks up the gravy instead of turning rubbery.
Which paneer dish is the most popular?
Paneer Butter Masala by a distance — mild, creamy and crowd-pleasing. If you want something richer try Shahi Paneer; for more spice, Kadai Paneer.
Do you have vegan options if I don't eat dairy?
Paneer itself is a dairy cheese, so it is not vegan — but a large part of our menu is, including many dals and vegetable curries. Tell us and we will point you to the vegan dishes; see Indian vegetarian food in Bangkok.
Does paneer travel well for delivery?
Very well — paneer gravies like butter masala and kadai hold heat and texture in transit. Order for delivery on GrabFood or LINE MAN.
