About Leo (Small)
Leo is Thailand's hugely popular value lager, brewed by Boon Rawd, the same house behind Singha. Lighter and smoother than its bigger sibling, it is a pale lager of around five percent built for easy, sociable drinking rather than for making a statement — which is precisely why so many Thais consider it the perfect everyday beer to have with a meal. We serve it cold in a small bottle from the bar.
Its lighter, less assertive body makes Leo an excellent session beer for a long Indian dinner. When you are working through several shared dishes — a few starters, a couple of curries, breads and rice — a smooth, undemanding lager refreshes without competing with the food or filling you up too quickly. The clean carbonation still does the important job of cutting spice and richness, but the gentler malt character stays in the background and lets the flavours of the meal lead.
Leo is the beer to choose when the table has ordered widely and you want something that goes with everything, from a mild korma to a smoky tandoori plate to a plate of biryani. It is also the friendly pick for anyone who finds heavier beers too much over a big meal. Our food is halal-friendly and the kitchen is entirely pork-free; alcohol is served from the bar only and never goes into the cooking. Available to guests aged twenty and over in accordance with Thai law — please enjoy it responsibly.
